Unlock your child’s potential

Welcome to Physiokids Pediatric Therapy!

We are a multidisciplinary pediatric therapy practice in Fort Worth, Texas. Physiokids offers skilled pediatric therapy professionals in physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Each discipline is committed to unlocking the functional abilities of all children that come through our doors. Through the use of evidence-based practices we are devoted to providing an effective and safe therapy environment for all children.

Physiokids is devoted to discovering ways to help your child succeed. Every child is unique and we think that should be embraced and celebrated. We will take the time to learn about your child’s personality, motivations and tailor our approach to meet their needs. We will work together with you to create a plan of action and encourage all families to take an active role in the therapy process to encourage long term success for each child.

We are a cash-pay practice and so our services are dictated by your child’s needs and coordinated between our therapists, the parent, and any other health care providers — not insurance. We want to focus on your child and provide more personalized care.

About

  • Founder, Physiokids

Dr. Emily Dalton, PT, DPT earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in 2017 and has been practicing for almost 6 years. She is a proud TCU alumni and happy to call Fort Worth home. She grew up in Albuquerque, NM but has fallen in love with Fort Worth and everything it has to offer. She and her husband welcomed a daughter this July which keeps them busy along with their two crazy dogs. She has worked in a variety of settings including outpatient pediatric PT, outpatient aquatic and orthopedic physical therapy, and home health pediatric PT. These different experiences have led her to approach each session with creativity, empathy, and passion for helping children in every stage of development.

As a new mom, she has a new appreciation of what it takes to protect your child and make sure they are set up for success. She is dedicated to helping her patients achieve their goals and optimize their movement patterns. She specializes in a wide range of diagnoses including torticollis, gross motor delays, neurological conditions and orthopedic injuries. She believes that every child is unique and every meeting should be tailored to each patient’s specific needs. She is trained in Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) Introductory A and is continuing with further levels. Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) combines cutting-edge research and methodologies to develop motor milestones. This approach focuses on provoking repetitive specific motor responses from a child, drawing on brain neuroplasticity to facilitate new neural pathways and connections. She has seen it have life-changing results for patients and families.

  • Rebecca Early, MS, CCC-SLP, is excited to begin providing speech therapy services at Physiokids! She has been working as a speech language pathologist since 2016 and is passionate about supporting families develop oral motor and functional communion skills for their children. When communication and meal times get difficult, she loves being able to support families in understanding the WHAT and WHY their children are doing and HOW we can develop a new skill. She utilizes a combination of evidence-based practices and creativity to demonstrate how progress can be made in a variety of ways. She always emphasizes that therapy is not complicated, but parent involvement and understanding the WHAT and WHY is key for progress across multiple settings.

Since beginning her career, she has worked in school-based, pediatric home health and early intervention settings. Her passion is working in the pediatric setting, specifically ages 0-5. She is excited to help support families and their children in her individual and group therapy visits.

She earned a BS in Communication Sciences and Disorders from TCU and MS in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Tulsa. She and her husband (also a TCU grad) moved back to Fort Worth in 2016 and have loved building their life in this wonderful city! She enjoys being outside, trying new restaurants and spending time with friends and family, including her husband, daughter, and two big dogs.
